Food Importer audited and confirmed by the European Certification Institute

The management system of AppleCore Foods Ltd, a leading local importer and distributor of prominent food and beverage brands, was independently audited and now confirmed by the European Certification Institute as being in conformity with ISO 9001:2008 standard in its sales and warehousing processes, and in the distribution of food products.

The ISO 9000 certifications address various aspects of quality management and contain some of ISO’s best-known standards, which provide guidance and tools for companies that want to ensure that their products and services consistently meet customer’s requirements, and that quality is consistently improved. AppleCore Foods were assisted by Ing. James Sammut from Tuning Fork Ltd in the attainment of such certification.

“AppleCore Foods Ltd. went through a rigorous testing process in all areas of operation until the ISO 9001:2008 certification was finally issued. Although this is not mandatory to conduct business, we strove to acquire this certification to assure our clientele of the standards that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of company operations”, explained Mr. Martin Gatt, Director of Operations and Logistics. “We are certain that the ISO certification will give us an edge in the local food and beverage market, as clients today expect a level of service that meets international standards”.

ISO International Standards ensure that products and services are safe, reliable and of good quality. This fits in perfectly with the company’s mission statement which states that “The key to our success is to meet and exceed the customers’ needs in terms of quality of products supplied by our trusted partners and excellence of service. AppleCore Foods means excellence and integrity.”
