The management and team at AppleCore Foods spend Sunday morning contributing to society at large.

The team at AppleCore Foods started the year 2013 by spending a Sunday morning at the National Blood Transfusion Service Centre in Guardamangia in a blood donation drive.

As part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts, which are being given particular importance during this year, a number of AppleCore Foods personnel joined forces to donate blood that is definitely considered as an asset to the medical services in Malta. Such an event also served as the first team-building event for the year.

The company, building on years of experience and success of its promoters, fosters a culture of social responsibility towards both the environment and also towards the society at large. Around 17,500 blood donations were made during 2012 in Malta, and in such spirit, AppleCore Foods appeals to other business organisations to follow suit in encouraging its personnel to donate blood.

At the end of the event, Antoinette Stellini, Director of Sales at AppleCore Foods Ltd, said: “We strive to be a socially responsible company, and in order to build on our achievements during 2012, we are extremely pleased to note that a number of our staff has embraced this noble initiative. We represent a number of socially-responsible brands, which also have such values at heart.”

AppleCore Foods will also be celebrating Corporate Social Responsibility Day on March 19th, details on which will be released shortly.
