The Arla Mozzarella Malta Pizza Challenge is the first event of its kind in Malta which seeks to award the top pizzaioli in the Maltese Islands.
The competition will be timed and will split in two:
- Pizza Making Competition
- Freestyle Pizza Challenge
The final schedule will be determined by the total number of participants.
Pizza Making Competition
This competition will consist of a series of heats, with 4 pizzaioli participating in each heat. Each competitor will have 15 minutes to prepare 4 pizzas as follows:
- Mystery Pizza (the competitors’ own invention from a pre-defined set of ingredients)
Points will be awarded for each of these 4 pizzas. These 4 marks will then be added up to give the overall score for each pizzaiolo.
This competition will take place over 2 days (Friday & Saturday) with participants being given a specific slot on one of those two days in which they will be participating. The winners will be announced on Sunday 31st May after the freestyle competition has ended.
Participants may bring their own dough but all other ingredients will be provided by the organisers. A jury comprising of foreign experts in the field shall judge the event.

6 awards shall be handed out at the end of the competition as follows:
